In the event of a motor accident, motorist should do the following:
- Exchange particulars with the other party.

- Take photos of the collided vehicles, the accident scene, and the accident surroundings.

- For NTUC Income policy holders, you are required to bring your vehicle to the nearest Independent Damage Assessment Centre (Idac) for vehicle assessment. Please call 6788-6616 for advice and to locate the nearest Idac centres.
- For other insurance policy holders, you may bring your vehicle down to your insurer's authorised workshops for vehicle assessment.
- Make a police report if the accident involves:
- any injury;
- damage to government vehicle/ government property;
- a foreign vehicle;
- pedestrians or cyclists;
- a hit-and-run party;
- Loss of vehicle
